I'd have a crack at creating or rather re-creating this mod but my programming skills are some what lacking.
Basically pre-BC there was a mod going around called Hit list.
The basic premise of the mod was that everytime you aquired a target it would add it to a list shown on the UI.
You could then click on these to retarget them.
It basically used a /target .... macro for targeting so although it was capable of keeping track of mobs this was never really useful since the targeting function wasnt exact.
However for a means of keeping track of players targeted and important NPCs it was very effective.
There were a few options but otherwise it was relatively simple mod.
From memory they were:
-Time to keep targets before fading.
-Include/ignore NPCs, Pets, Players etc
-Include/ignore Classes
-Include friendly/hostile
-List lock (ie they wouldn't fade over time)
The list was kept to a maximum of 5 targets which is fine since its displaying them in such a nice view.
And that basically it really, I know blizzard changed something to with mods targeting but I'm sure i've seen a few that are capable of targeting from a mouse click on a stored name.
If so if anyone was capable of re-establishing this mod, I know a few people who would be very grateful.
I'll try and find a copy of the original to link to which would probably make things easier.
