Hi all,
I work on an addon for Antrix GM for the server on which I'm GM.
I have a TextField ("PlayerName") for input the character name of the player.
I would like make a copy of this field or just select it when I double click on it
Example:
If I want delete the field I can press Escape and the function is this: ToPlayerName:ClearFocus();
I Use WoW UI Designer and LuaEdit
Have you an idea for make a select or a copy of this field when i doubleclick on it?
(Sorry if i make a double post but I find anything post about it)
Thanks in advance|||Just a heads up. I do hope hope your server fails miserably. Its people like you that don't understand the amount of work and passion that goes into a video game. Sure its 15$ you don't want to spend, and you think Blizzard is rich from it, but have you thought about the people that actually work on the project? You think you have a hard time coding a simple XML file for a new form.. think what your doing here. Think about how hard it is to listen to 9 million people scream at you because you misspelled the word Divine.
I refuse to help Emulation Developers. In fact, I hope a moderator stops this post.|||Hey,
I understand your thinking and I respect the works of Blizzard's developpers but for me the private server it's a alternative to an official server. I play on offical server and it's better than private! But it's not the subject. Just don't read it's for a Antrix server...|||Quote:

Well said.|||I'm just gonna tease you by stating that its actually quite easy to do what you want :)
Honestly :)|||Nice Telic ^^ .
Yeah we don't support this stuff here, go elsewhere. Reported.

Icons..
I'm currently doing some work on a sort of cool down mod, now it all works, but Icons are giving me trouble because I don't know how to find what they're all called so currently every spell icon is this: Interface\\Icons\\Spell_Frost_IceShock
I know that to be counter spell (borrowed from elsewhere), but what I basically need is some form of list of how to get the icons (for example: is Kidney Shot's icon Interface\\Icons\\Ability_Rogue_KidneyShot or something else) or information on how to generate such a list.|||http://www.wowwiki.com/WoWWiki:WoW_I...on_List/Images

Thanks a heap jumpy :)

Pet Xp
Well, there is this mod that i love, its called petexp2. Its a simple mod and what it does is simply post the xp your pet gained form the last kill, how much more xp is needed and how many kills to go.
Now the problem is that it finds the gained xp by taking the hunter's gained experience and using some formula. That where the problem is, If im level 70, i gain no XP, therefore the mod doesn't work. i could be wrong in my reasoning why it doesnt work though.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how i could fix this cause it seems the original author abandoned it? Any help would be appreciated.|||Most likely, you'll have to wait for a new level cap (perhaps 75?) before the formula can even be recoded to suit your needs.

WOW-LoZ Interface Project - Need Help
Here's a conceptual bit of work displaying what I'm hoping to achieve with this project. Please note that this is only CONCEPT ART, not a functional interface.
I've divided the concept up into several AddOns:
ZeldaLife - Replaces the regular Player's frame with Zelda styled Hearts and Magic bar. Acts just like the regular Player frame on mouseover. Also converts the Magic bar into a cast bar. By default, automatically determines the number of hearts by the player's level, but can be manually set to any number (Max hearts can be in 2 rows of 8 or 2 rows of 10, by default 2 rows of 10). If "ZeldaSound" is enabled, then it also plays matching sound effects for low life and life recovery. Also changes pet, party, and enemy HP/MP bars to Zelda support style. PvP flag appears as a Triforce icon to the side of the hearts. I'd like to get it's functionality to be compatible with MyRolePlay as well. Currently, I've been using a modified version of Zelda Hearts as a base, but it is very lacking in functionality.
ZeldaGear - Adds "Actionbar" buttons to the top of the screen. Appears as "Classic NES", "Z64", or "Wii" style, with "Z64" being the default. Opening the Gear menu allows customization of item graphics to Zelda items, which can be used on the ZeldaGear Actionbars. If "ZeldaSound" is enabled, also includes various musical sounds for certain items and actions.
ZeldaMinimap - Converts the minimap to a fixed-system custom Zelda-styled map collection. Optionally also displays a "compass" (Not shown in example) which acts as a stand-in Minimap circle for addons that use minimap buttons. Additionally will work with Metamap notes, with a display toggle for various nodes (Mineral, Herb, Chest, Quest). The example doesn't show this (because it was fairly hastily put together), but the mini map would have more detail.
ZeldaRupees - Converts your GSC to Rupees to display in the corner of your screen. (G.SS.CC format) The more money you have, the bigger the display rupee will be! If "ZeldaSound" is enabled, plays rupee gain/loss sounds!
ZeldaSound - Adds authentic Zelda sound effects to various actions, including vendors and abilities.|||image is really small, i cant tell what im looking at.|||That's a very interesting concept.
Too bad you can't make it so when you hit a chicken, a swarm chases you.
I'd be on board with you if I weren't so busy with my own projects ='(

One bag custom mod...
Okay I know there are mods out there that do this and make all your bags into one... But I want to make my own the way I want it and such.
Would this be easier to make it from scratch or edit the code of the public Onebag addon? I'm new to making addons so I may need a little help, but I catch on fast.|||First and foremost, I hope you know what you're getting yourself into.
Creating an addon for WoW is not far from programming a GUI in any other high-level language, such as C++. The only true difference is the limitations of the scripting language which Blizzard has issued. There are, however, several plus sides to a scripting language as well, which go beyond the limits of any high-level programming language. Personally, i've been programming in several languages from QBasic/Visual Basic all the way to C++/ASM, and i'm still baffled by some of the complexities at hand. So, just bear that in mind.
Of course, there's plenty of help out there, including a little from Blizzard. And it's true, you don't have to be a hardcore developer to get into interface programming. So if you truly feel serious about it, do plenty of reading before tackling your goal:

http://www.lua.org/
Might I suggest the HOWTOs and Tutorials section from wowwiki?
Anyways, once you feel confident enough, try examining other developer's completed projects to see how they've accomplished thier goals. Then finally, start your own project from scratch. Remember not to steal another developer's code, as there are usually consequences for such actions. You can, however, contact a developer and ask to use portions of their work in your own. Just be sure to give them the credit they deserve!
Best of luck,

New to Addon Creation
I recently took interest in creating addons for WoW, and this happened to coincide with the release of the Addon Studio for World of Warcraft. My first project is actually quite a large order, especially for someone who is new to Lua coding.
My main question is how would I go about creating a drop down menu (ala Atlasloot), and then how would I link the various selections from the menu to different relative tables?
Essentially, I'm looking to make a profession encyclopedia for myself that will show everything that can be made by all the professions and also include the materials required for each item.
Any help is appreciated.|||http://www.wowwiki.com/WoWWiki:Interface_customization
