How to check player's privileges

I am working on a addon that have a set of functionalities, but some of these are only working if the wow player is GM or Admin.

I'm looking for a function or a trick that may check if the logged player is a regular one or a player with more powers. I'd like to check if it is the case and then show or hide features in my addon ui frame.

The wow api doesn't seem to provide such functions, or maybe it is totally server-side and nothing can be done. But if there is a way to do that, it would be great.

All players on Blizz servers are the same. Are you talking about private servers? In which case we won't help you here, our stance is very clear when it comes to private servers.
