Help with addon idea

Hey there, Well ill get to the point - Im planning to make a gambling addon for WoW.

Basically with a few modes, but the one i want to focus on first is the roll one.

Host /rolls 1-100 , The number that he gets is the 'target' number

Gambling players pay the host the amount decided on before the game starts

This goes into the pot.

The players /roll 1-100, if they get the target number they win the entire pot, if they dont get the number the pot rises.

Im doing a course for visual basic in college and know how to use IF statments and loops ect..

I Downloaded the WoW visual studio for WoW addons, and ive been messing around with it trying to learn, but ive had no success so far.

I need to make the addon so that it reads the players /roll, then sends a chat message (party) that says wether they hit the target or not.

There are many things im planning for this addon, It is only really for guild wise gambling - The other day we was doing it with 6 people and the pot reached 2840g , a druid from the guild won the lot :)

Ive looked through the wikipedia page for WoW addons, but i dont know how or where to start with this project.

I welcome any advice, tips and pointers - Thanks in advanced|||i dont think a "Gamibling" addon is such a great idea.|||Lothie is correct. Gambling is against the ToS in ANY form, so don't get caught doing what you're doing already.
