Post to web page from Mod

My guild wants to use an addon to post our stats to our website, but I have not been able to find an example of how I would hit a webpage with the mod. Does anyone out there know how to hit a web page from the mod? Posting to a webpage would be even better.

Thanks for your help.|||If I understand your question correctly, you cannot send data from a mod to anywhere other than the saved variables file. And that file is only written to disk when you do a /reloadui or log out.

So you would need a program that reads the saved variables file after logging out and then writes to a web page.|||http://www.rpgoutfitter.com/addons/index.cfm|||Quote:

I am aware of how all these sites, Warcraft Census - WarcraftRealms.com, Thottbot and www.rpgoutfitter.com get their data. They have programs that read the saved variable files just like I said. Don't come in here asking a question and then arguing about the answer. You cannot send data from within WoW to anything other than the saved variables file.

Sorry that you took offence to my question. I simply wanted to know if you knew how those profilers did it because as far as I knew they had no exe's that were downloaded with them (I for one have the thottbot add on and don't have an exe in that folder) So before you get all upset about it, remember that forums are for education and sharing not just to show intellectual supremicy|||You can use something like RPGOutfitter or if you simply want to display your stats on your webpage, get your guild to use the WoWDigger uploader and you can then embed all your guild members profiles in your site with one line of code for each memeber. It would look like this and you can change the background to whatever colour you want. As long as your guild members upload their data at the end of each play session your char data will be right up to date, more so than the armory which has a delay.

Your char would look like like this on your webpage (this is one of mine) and you can also display each member's wishlist and theory-crafted builds...
