This question has probably been posed before, and i'm actually hoping that there's a mod out there that can help me with what i'm looking for...if that's the case, please move this topic! But, on the other hand, this might be too unique to have already been an addon.
So I, with a few other guys, have started to run several half pug, half guild 25 man raids. We have been pretty successful with downing bosses on a regular basis, but we always get new people who join each week to make up for certain spots. We tried to use Suicide Kings Geo, but the system doesnt account for those who use alts and gets a little complicated with keeping track of everyone who comes in and out...so to make it short and the point i'll post the issues that i hope an addon can help to make this a much smoother deal.
1. The addon should be simple in that it can keep track of everyone who joins the raid, give them a certain ID, and the ability to add with their alts under their main character that they bring into the raid.
2. The addon should be simple enough that only us who run the raid should have to use it. Getting everyone to use the mod only slows progress and adds headache..i'm pretty sure most of you know about lazy players!
3. Should run a system similar to Suicide Kings. I dont want to keep track of DKP, our system should only be there to benefit those who show up most frequently, but fair enough that those who show up later will also have a chance to receive loot. That's why suicide kings was more to our liking than keeping track of dkp.
4. I'm hoping that the ID system should look something like...the main tank is (TW 1) T=Tank W=warrior 1=hierarchy
So...H=healer and D=DPS etc. something to that extent. And alts to that character should be able to be posted under the same ID. Of course, the addon wouldnt be able to recognize, but it should be able to give us the option to do it ourselves, if you see my point.
5. A system that can more easily filter out the players who do not show up anymore to the raids. Like some sort of +1/-1 system to allow players who received loot to move back up faster past those who didnt show up for several weeks.
To sum it up..our main problem with Suicide Kings is its inability to create something unique that can keep track of players using some sort of ID system so that they wont be forced to lose their spot in the system and give us a headache to keep track of whose alts are for whom.
